Child & Adolescent Therapy

Every child and teen experiences challenges as they grow—whether it's big emotions, changes in family dynamics, school stress, or social pressures. Therapy provides an empowering and supportive space where young people can explore their feelings, develop a stronger sense of self, and learn healthy ways to navigate relationships and life transitions.

Approach

My approach to working with children and adolescents is relational and systemic, recognizing that a child’s emotional world is deeply shaped by their relationships and environment. I primarily use child-centered play therapy techniques, creating a safe and supportive space where young people can express themselves freely, process big emotions, and build confidence through play. I prioritize building a trusting relationship with each child, so they feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow at their own pace. I also collaborate closely with parents and caregivers, offering guidance and insight to support connection and healing both in and out of the therapy room.

  • Young children express emotions through play and creativity, not always words. My approach is grounded in Child-Centered Play Therapy, allowing them to process experiences, express emotions, and build resilience in a way that feels natural and accessible.

  • Play & Art Therapy – Using storytelling, creative expression, and interactive play to help children express emotions and process big feelings.
Building Emotional Regulation – Helping children develop healthy coping skills, self-confidence, and a sense of security.
Parental Collaboration – Partnering with parents and caregivers to support their child's progress outside of sessions, enhance communication, and strengthen their relational bond.

  • Adolescence is a time of self-discovery, changing relationships, and emotional growth. My approach is relational and experiential, providing teens with a space where they feel empowered, supported, and respected. While play therapy techniques can still be useful, therapy often focuses on identity exploration, self-esteem, peer and family relationships, anxiety, and major life transitions.

  • Relational & Expressive Therapy – Creating a space for open conversations, creative expression, and self-exploration.
Identity & Emotional Growth – Helping teens understand themselves, build confidence, and navigate life’s challenges.
Family & Peer Relationships – Supporting teens in strengthening connections with parents, siblings, and friends.
Empowering Environment – Providing a confidential and supportive space for teens to express themselves freely.
